My name is Dana Popa, I am a transcultural systemic therapist with nearly 30 years of experience in the healthcare system. My approach is rooted in the belief that understanding and owning your story brings clarity, balance, and strength.
I specialized in working with individuals facing depression, anxiety, life transitions, mental health challenges, trauma, abuse, and relocation. Having relocated from Romania to the Netherlands 30 years ago, I understand the complexities of cultural adaptation firsthand. I offer therapy sessions in English, Dutch, and Romanian, all of which I speak natively.
My Approach
Therapy is a journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and resilience. I recognize that seeking therapy can feel vulnerable, which is why I prioritize building a trusting relationshipwith my clients—an essential foundation for meaningful growth. I believe that every individual is the expert in their own life, capable of moving toward fulfillment and well-being.
Professional Collaboration & Continuous Learning
I collaborate with a network of psychiatrists, therapists, and coaches in the Netherlands and worldwide. To ensure the highest quality of care, I continuously expand my expertise through ongoing education, intervention groups, and staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of psychotherapy.
